Attorney Profile of Jonathan C. Rosen
Criminal Defense Lawyer Serving Van Nuys
Jonathan C. Rosen attended college at San Diego State and CSUN and went on to attend law school at Southwestern. In his third year of law school, Jonathan performed more than 50 preliminary hearings as part of a Certified Clerkship at the LA District Attorney's Office. Jonathan has since dedicated his legal career almost exclusively to criminal law. He has been practicing law since 2000.
After graduating law school, Jonathan worked for two respected and well-known criminal defense attorneys. He then opened his own practice to further his commitment to protecting the rights of criminal defendants, arrestees and suspects throughout the Southern California area. He has handled a wide range of criminal cases at any stage, from arraignment through to appeal and is experienced in addressing minor offenses such as shoplifting all the way to murder.
One particular success that shows Attorney Rosen's complete commitment to his clients is a case that involved a defendant who had two strikes on his criminal record. He was facing a third strike that would have resulted in 25 years to life in prison. In handling the case, Attorney Rosen uncovered information that certain evidence had been illegally obtained by law enforcement. He filed a motion with a Lancaster judge to suppress this evidence, but the motion was denied. Attorney Rosen did not give up. He took a Writ to the court of appeal and successfully obtained a reversal of the judge's ruling, resulting in the dismissal of his client's charges.
